This blog is written by and for Washington Redskins fans who have known what it's like to wish we could quit caring about the team, but now realize that it's not our choice. We were weaned on Joe Gibbs, Art Monk, the Hogs, Darrell Green, Doug Williams, John Riggins, Charles Mann (and his delicious dinners), Mark Rypien and three Super Bowls.
To us, Dan Snyder is like a real-life amalgamation of Newman on Seinfeld, Gordon Gekko, Iago and Ahab (or possibly the whale). But no matter what, our fandom is here to stay.
Why? We're not really sure, but this video is the best explanation I can find.
I don't know if I'll ever feel as strongly about a team as I did about the 2007 Redskins. I do know that I will be telling my grandkids about Sean Taylor.
